School philosophy:We desire to grow together with every student, we will start teaching from the junior class, teaching step by step until you sailing independently, we could play as a team for race, witness the growth and harvest together.

​About Us

One of the founders of the Company, He has a keen interested in sailing since he was a teenager. He met Mr. Hui Chak Hei (Former China National Sailing Team Athlete) a few years ago,and realized that he was about to enter a sailing race, so the founder sent a sailboat named "Aegean" to Mr. Hui Chak Hei.

Out of their love of sailing, they hit it off, the idea of starting a sailing school was born, and they proposed to contribute to society as a non-profit organization. Because of the yearning for the boundless comfort of the Aegean, and because of the gift of the ship "Aegean", they named the company "Aegean"

Purpose of Establishment

The agency hopes to train more young people to become athletes, let children grow up with purpose. Avoid them being tempted by the online world to become phubber, this exercise trains students to train physical fitness, relieve stress, exercise endurance, balance mentality, adhere to goals.

Part of the cost of the institution will fund by sailing enthusiasts, we will accept students at a low threshold tuition fee. Hopefully, sailing will become a popular sport, to enable Hong Kong, China to cultivate more outstanding and contributing children.

The Company is a non-profit organization, we are committed to promoting and popularizing youth sailing sports and nautical culture. Let more Hong Kong citizens participate, especially the new generation of young people, give them one more option for outdoor sports, Those with excellent grades have an opportunity to represent the country in competitions, they will have a clear goal on their growth path.

Development Potential

They will have more opportunities to get in touch with nature, at the same time, it will cultivate students' physical training, stress relief, endurance, balance mentality, adhere to goals and cultivate perseverance, meet new friends, develop your decision-making skills. Maybe have an opportunity to represent yourself or Hong Kong in the competition, make sailing become a goal in their life!

History About Sailing

Laser, dagger board, 4.23 meters long, 1.42 meters wide, sail area 7.06 SQM, 59 kg Weighs. The ship was designed by Canadian Bruce Hobby, project developed in the 60's. The first time became one of the Olympic sports was in 1992, more than 100 countries have started this campaign. Originally designed as a recreational boat, mostly used on weekends for fun, then became the world's most competitive sport sailboat quickly.

Youngster Experience Lessons (3 hours)

Training Time:Mon - Sun,09:00-12:00 / 13:00-16:00

Training location: Kwun Tong Bypass

Recruitment target:5-18 years old

Training Boat:J-BOATS J80

Training Fee:$1000/3hrs

Inclusions:Boat equipment, dock classroom, coach, a sweetshirt

Class Capacity:5 students

This course is to make sailing fun for beginners who have never been exposed to sailing.

Junior Basic Sailing Course
(10 lessons, 1 hours / lesson)

Coach:Mr. Hui Chak Hei (Chinese National Team Sailing Team Athlete)

Training Time:Mon - Sun,09:00-12:00 / 13:00-16:00

Training location:Kwun Tong Bypass 

Recruitment target:5-18 years old

Training Boat:J-BOATS J80

Training Fee:$500/1hr (Attend a minimum of 2 lessons at a time, Pick time

by yourself)

Inclusions:Boat equipment, dock classroom, coach, a sweetshirt

Class Capacity:5 students

Teaching Content:Sailing Theory,Name of the boat and accessories,

Structure of ship,Basic knowledge of each position,Physics of Navigation,Wind direction lessons on sailing,Rigging,Rope Work

Practical content:Steering,Gybing,Jibing,close hauled ,sailing by the lee,

Team Work

 

After completing this course, participants will have an initial understanding of windsurfing, includes the initial techniques and basics of sailing.

Single-handed sailing (Youngster)

Training Time:Mon - Sun,09:00-12:00 / 13:00-16:00

Training location:Kwun Tong Bypass 

Recruitment target:5-18 years old

Training Boat:FAREAST 11

Training Fee:$500/1hr (2hours/ lesson, Pick time by yourself)

Inclusions:Boat equipment, dock classroom, coach, a sweetshirt

Class Capacity: 5 students

Basic Sailing Course for Adults
(10 lessons, 1 hr/lesson)

Coach:Mr. Hui Chak Hei ( Chinese National Team Sailing Team Athlete)

Training Time:Mon - Sun,09:00-12:00 / 13:00-16:00

Training location:Kwun Tong Bypass 

Recruitment target:18 +

Training Boat:J-BOATS J80

Training Fee:$800/1hr (Attend a minimum of 2 lessons at a time, Pick time

by yourself)

Class Capacity:5 students

(ASA) American Sailing Association Course

Course format :ASA 101 + ASA 101, Courses + Certifications, 5 Days

Course fee :$17,500, including boat use, ASA course materials, training, certification for this course, etc…

Association :

•  Certification Qualifications : Each participant must complete all courses before taking the ASA101 & ASA103 certification exam. The passer can be certified by the American Sailing Association

•  Pass the certification : Those who pass the certification test will be issued a visa on the logbook by the coach of Aegean Sailing Club, and the ASA101 + ASA103 certificate will be sent.

ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing Standard Course

Able to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat of approximately 20 to 35 feet in length by day in light to moderate winds (8 to 15 knots) and sea conditions.

•  Knowledge of basic sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship and safety including basic navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards.

ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising Standard Course

 •  Description: Demonstrated ability to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered (outboard or inboard engine) keelboat of approximately 25 to 35 feet length by day in moderate winds (0 to 20 knots) and sea conditions.

 •  Knowledge of cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather forecast interpretation, safety and seamanship.
